The eye is like a camera. It has an aperture, a lens and a film. The pupil is the aperture and the retina corresponds to the film.

The cornea is the clear, outer layer covering the front of the eye. It acts as a barrier to protect the eye from foreign objects, helps with vision by focusing light, and filters ultraviolet rays that enter the eye.

Oculoplastic and orbital surgery is plastic surgery focused on the structures surrounding the eye, including the eyelids, orbit (bones of the eye socket), lacrimal system (tear duct system), forehead, and midface area.

Strabismus is a common condition among children. It can also occur later in life. It may run in families; however, many people with strabismus have no relatives with the problem.

The eye functions like a camera with a lens and film. Light entering the eye passes through the cornea, the lens and vitreous gel before reaching the retina. All of the reactions that allow us to see begin at this point.

Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve.  

If the human eye works like a camera, we can imagine that the "processing of the film" into what we see as visual images is transmitted by the optic nerves from the globe of the eye, to their visual pathways in the brain and finally towards the visual processing centers at the back part of the brain.
